Melbourne has a lively nightclub scene and is well noted for live music and comedy clubs; and world class ballets, opera, plays and concerts. There are year round theatre performances by local companies as well as noted international artistes. A visit to Melbourne is just not complete without a show at one of the many live theatres. The Victorian Art Centre, which is one of the greatest cultural centre, is home to some of the finest performing arts companies and some of the regular features include Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, Melbourne Theatre Company, Melbourne Symphony and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
