Dreamworld
Located at Coomera, just 40 minutes south of Brisbane and 20 minutes north
of Surfers Paradise Dreamworld offers all the thrill and excitement one has
ever dreamed of. Cross all limits of having fun at the Dreamworld. With two of
the fastest, tallest rides in the world one of them being the 'Tower of Terror'
and some of the most thrilling action on rides like the 'Wipeout' and 'Thunderbolt'
Dreamworld promises to be one of the most exciting day of your vacation. It
houses one of the only two interactive tiger exhibits in the world, where one
can observe the Royal Bengal tigers while they play, swim, wrestle and relax
with their handlers in a specicially created habitat. , Dreamworld promises a
day full of surprises, entertainment and relaxation whether it is a movie at
the six storey high IMAX or handfeeding a kangaroo and cuddling a koala,

Wet 'N' Wild Water Park
For year round water fun the Wet 'n' Wild Water World is ideal. With all
pools and slides heated to twenty-six degrees celsius Wet 'n' Wild is fun in
all seasons. With activities ranging from whizzing down waterslides at 60
kilometers an hour to lying in an inflatable tube in a wave pool, the Wet "N"
Wild Water Park is worth a visit for people of all ages. Take up the challenge
of the 'White Water Mountain' and drop through the 'Terror Canyon' which
dazzles with it's Fibre Optic lighting or indulge in the new Terror Canyon II
ride. The Buccaneer Bay, specially designed for children, keeps the kids
occupied for hours on end, with it's tunnels

and slides and a pirate ship as well. For a terrifying
experience the four storey, forty five degree drop of the 'Double Screamer'
slide is ideal an for those with a zeal for speed the 'Giant Speed Slide' gives

where one can watch new release movies while floating in the wave pool or

Championship golf courses attract golf lovers from far and wide. World
class golfing facilities are available and visitors are welcomed at a number of

Other Activities
Sanctuary Cove, a marine village, is bustling with day-to day
activities and the buskers, local fashion articles, arts and crafts, galleries

visited by cruise boats from Gold Coast.
Southport, a shopping district, is another major lanmark overlooking the
Broadwater. Catamarans, houseboats, jet boats, sail boards and luxurious yachts

features some of the world's most love cartoons in an interactive children's
playground. The children are transported to their favourite world of cartoons
while they enjoy themed rides. Special effects and world class technology have
made the popular 'Bermuda Triangle ride' a thrilling experience while 'Ski
Challenge 2000' - Australia's longest running live show, continues to entertain
the audiences from all the corners of the world. Sea World also has on display
the 3-D movie, 'Pirates', which is shown at Sea World's pirate castle.

The world famous beaches of Gold Coast are all located in the central

perfect vacation to a beach destination. While Surfer's Paradise has luxurius

International standard golf at Royal Pines, Palm Meadows and Carrara Golf
Courses, Cruises along the canals and waterways, abundant shopping

The south hosts twin towns of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads which offer some

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Set in 27 hectares of landscaped ground the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
boasts of the largest collection of native Australian animals in the world...
This world famous sanctuary is know for the wild rainbow lorikeets which flock
to be handfed by visitors. It is also known for the largest walk through
rainforest aviary in the southerns hemisphere. Walk amongst kangaroos,
pose with the koalas or encounter the wild wombats, tasmanian devils, wallabies
and crocodile.

Learn morse about 'Creatures of the Dark Foresst' by taking a
walk along a broadwalk or take a miniature train through Koala Junction,
Kangaroo Crossing and vast landscaped grounds. Visitors can also sample the
Aboriginal lifestyle and indulge in night tours of the sanctuary.

Other Activities
The twin towns of Tweed Heads and Coolangatta are home to some of the best
clubs like Twin Towns Services Club, Club Banora, Seagulls Rugby League Club,
the Tweed Heads Coolangatta Golf Club. They offer some of the largest and best sporting
and entertainment venues featuring world class live shows, gaming
machines, restaurants and sporting facilities.
In contrast is the slow and mighty Tweed River. For amateurs boats can
be hired at Fingal, Tweed Heads and Tumbulgum, and houseboats can be
chartered from Murwillumbah.
The Southern Gold Coast region offers secluded beaches which are good surf
beaches.
Finally the lush, green Hinterland which forms the backdrop to the sparkling
sea and dazzling, white beaches. Just 30 minutes inland from Gold Coast and the
scenery changes tos sub-tropical forests, offering breathtaking views under the
forest canopy. Beautiful waterfall, bush walking tracks, mountain villages and
World Heritage National Parks all excite the imagination. Renowned adventure
operators offer bushwalking, bird watching, camping and abseiling facilities.
The renowned Lamington National Park is just one in a row of protected areas.
Other wilderness areas showcasing spectacular scenery, waterfalls, rock pools
and unique flora and fauna include Springbrook National Park and the Tamborine
National Parks.
The hinterland is also home to some famous wineries.
Tropical Fruit World
Formerly known as 'Avocadoland' the Tropical Fruit World is one of the
major attractions of the Hinterland. An agricultural based tourist attraction
it exhibits the native Australian and other tropical fruits. Situated on the
rim of the largest extinct volcano in the Southern Hemisphere, it offers
spectacular views of the Tweed Valley & McPherson Ranges. Features include
a casual dining area, a superb licensed restaurant, gift shop, fresh fruit
market, rainforest walks, tours of the plantation, and for the kids a treasure
island playground, paddle boats, canoes and more!

Lamington National Park
45km west of Gold Coast lies the Lamington National - Australia's largest
reserve of subtropical rainforests. With more than 160km of walking
tracks, 500 waterfalls, abundant wildlife and ancient, Antarctic beech trees
Lamington National Park is a peaceful retreat from the lively bustle of the
Gold Coast Beaches. A number of mountain lodges and guest houses offer a wide
range of activities, comfortable accommodation and good food.
